A humorous encounter: Fred, Detlef, Willi and fat Gerd
On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Fred strolled through the busy pedestrian zone of his home town. Wearing his usual short shirt and relaxed look, he was on the lookout for his best friend Detlef, who could never be far away. And sure enough, there he was - Detlef, as always in his tight jeans and T-shirt that emphasized his impressive muscles. Standing next to him was Willi, a mutual friend with a broad smile and a penchant for quirky sayings.
„Fred! Come here, let's sit down in the café over there! Willi and I are thirsty,“ Detlef called out in his typical loud voice. Fred nodded and joined them. The three of them looked for a table outside and ordered cool lemonades. While they were chatting, they were unexpectedly joined by Gerd, an old acquaintance who always stood out with his distinctive laugh and his wealth.
„Well, you muscle men, do you have room for the fat man?“ asked Gerd with a grin.
„Sure, Gerd, but make sure the chair can take it!“ Detlef countered with a wink, which caused everyone to burst out laughing. Another chair was quickly pulled up and the four of them were complete.
After a good hour, they decided to continue the relaxed atmosphere in a beer garden. „Now it's time for something serious - beer and pretzels!“ announced Willi, and the others agreed with him.
Once in the beer garden, the group found a shady table. It wasn't long before the first round of beer was served. After the second round, the conversations got louder and fat Gerd told one story after another - each one more absurd than the last. Fred could hardly sit still from laughing, while Detlef began to use his beer mug as an imaginary microphone and belt out songs at the top of his voice.
Some of the other guests were already scowling at them, and finally the landlord approached the table. In a slightly annoyed but friendly tone, he said: „Boys, I don't want to spoil your fun, but you're a bit too loud. Maybe you can spend the rest of the evening somewhere else?“
„No problem, boss,“ Detlef replied with a laugh. „But we'll be back - you have the best beer in town!“
The four of them packed their things and moved on through the city, laughing. Although they weren't allowed to stay longer in the beer garden that evening, it was exactly the kind of experience that always strengthened their friendship. And Fred, Detlef, Willi and fat Gerd knew that this would not be their last adventure.
